The role
The Melbourne Operations team are seeking an enthusiastic Guest Services Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis. In this hybrid role, you will cover the Monday and Friday Reception shifts (10am - 6pm) and the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (10am - 6pm) Catering shifts. As a member of this collaborative team, you will operate as the face of our firm within Reception and play a critical role in the delivery of internal and external client services.
Additional training and development will be provided to the right candidate. You will also demonstrate excellence in client service, ensuring seamless delivery of all catering requirements including internal and external client events as well as ensuring recognised service level standards are consistently met. This is a full-time permanent opportunity working 5 days per week.
Your responsibilities as a Receptionist:This varied, busy and exciting role will see you:Warmly and professionally greet all visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and looked after;Switchboard management, answering internal and external phone calls and ensuring their call is directed to the most appropriate person;Administering bookings for internal services including rooms, catering and facilities equipment; and
Taking ownership of the presentation of the reception area and all meeting rooms and boardroom. Your responsibilities as a Catering Assistant:Providing a high standard of food and beverage service, including coffee service/barista and setting up/clearing for functions/meetings in a prompt, professional and friendly manner. This includes breakfasts, morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas, cocktail parties, dinners and VIP functions;Working the occasional morning and evening functions;The opening and closing of the client floor, ensuring all is complete for operations including cleaning and restocking of staff hubs; and
Assisting in the in-house caféSkills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will have:Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)Food Handling Certificate1-2 years' experience in a hospitality environment (boardroom experience highly desirable)Previous experience as a Receptionist or similar front of house role is highly desired
Enjoy working with people and pride yourself in excellent customer service skills
Impeccable grooming standards and a professional phone manner
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised
Flexible in working hours when required
Experience as a barista or very good coffee making skills
Knowledge of table setting, especially in a fine dining environment (highly desirable)How to Apply?
