We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced GymEquipment Installer to join our team. This is an important role responsible for ensuring we meet our promise to our customers by delivering accurate, time efficient and trouble free installations of equipment into client sites.
About the role
You would undertake the installation of commercial grade Gym Equipment to a range of customers at locations across Australia. This would entail planning, preparation, travelling to client sites, unpacking and installing equipment, checking for full functionality, adjustment and trouble-shooting, ensuring proper hand-over and maintaining all necessary documentation and sign offs.
Responsibilities include:
- Make clear and concise plans for equipment installation(s), confirming the details with Alphafit Management and the Client prior to the installation date.
- Communicating with the Alphafit Team and the Client to coordinate arrangements for access to client site locations.
- Booking travel as required.
- Ensuring all necessary tools and equipment and any spare parts are taken to the client site to carry out efficient and trouble free installation.
- Undertake any necessary risk assessments or WHS precautions prior to commencing installation.
- Assemble and install equipment in accordance with specifications, using a range of hand and power tools.
- Complete all necessary documentation for the installation, ensuring copies are supplied to the client where required.
- Maintain full and accurate records of time taken for the installation, travel time and any incidental costs incurred.
This position entails travelling to client sites across Australia, which may at times include overnight stays away from home.
About you
To succeed in the role, you will need a good understanding of the operation of a wide range of commercial Gym Equipment and competency using a range of hand and power tools. You would bring to the role;
- Experience in a similar role installing equipment (whilst not essential, previous experience installing commercial Gym Equipment would be an advantage).
- Good interpersonal skills; a strong communicator, comfortable working with both internal staff and clients.
- Professional personal presentation and a positive demeanour.
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated competence and skill using hand and power tools.
- Strong aptitude for analysing, assembling, and trouble-shooting installation problems with mechanical devices.
- Good physical strength in order to perform the tasks of loading, delivering, and installing equipment which often require lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Attention to detail with a results focused attitude to achieving goals.
- Able to undertake installations efficiently with minimal time wastage.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel away from home.
