Due to growing demand, Maurice Meade has an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced hairdresserstylist and/ or colourist!
Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcoming customers and identifying their preferences by asking pointed questions.
- Advising clients on suitable haircuts as well as hairstyles and hair colour based on their physical features and hair type.
- Washing, rinsing and drying clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalps)
- Cutting, trimming, and shaping clients' hair as well as wigs, hair extensions, hairpieces, and toupes based on clients’ preferences and specifications.
- Using hairstyling tools and equipment, including hair straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers, and hot combs, to style clients’ hair accordingly.
- Applying a wide range of hair colouring techniques, like highlights, ombre and balayage.
- Creating hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns.
- Appling hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. colour protection creams and hydrating masks).
- Forming bonds with loyal customers and remembering their hairstyle preferences.
- Managing bookings and serve walk-ins.
- Ensuring tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed.
- Cleaning and sterilizing all hairdressing tools and instruments to ensure that state health and safety standards are met.
- Operating the cash register to process client payments when necessary.
- Attending all relevant training as directed from time to time.
