AddressA leading provider in the security and window furnishings industry is currently seeking a motivated and reliable handyman to join their Melbourne team. This role involves the installation of high-quality security and window products servicing both commercial and residential clients across Melbourne and occasionally in regional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installations and service of high-quality security doors and window furnishings.
- Travel to client sites primarily within Melbourne and its southeastern suburbs, with occasional assignments in regional areas.
- Efficiently conduct installations, which include measuring, cutting, installing, and ensuring products fit perfectly.
- Manage logistical tasks such as loading tools and materials, maintaining inventory, and operating a high-roof, long-wheelbase company van.
- Ensure job site cleanliness and perform job completion tasks.
- Schedule management via mobile device and eventual transition to tablet-based management.
- Excellent customer interaction skills, process payments onsite, and maintain high service standards.
- Adapt to flexible working hours, including potential weekend work during peak periods, with overtime compensation.
Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance, handyman tasks.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s licence with the ability to undergo periodic licence checks.
- Prepared to undergo police and working with children checks.
- Effective organisational, time management, and communication skills.
- Construction induction cards (Red or White).
- Carpentry or previous experience as an installer is highly advantageous but not essential.
