MINT Lighting Design is an independent lighting design practice specialising in residential lighting design on projects of all sizes, from small renovations to luxury new homes. Every project is different, and every client unique. We work at all levels of residential construction, from project builds to bespoke architectural builds and collaborate with interior designers, architects and homeowners.

The Role
Working directly with our senior designer, you will bring your attention to detail and understanding of light and lighting design to both the creative design process and the meticulous documentation required to execute lighting design effectively.
You will be evaluating light fittings, researching solutions, detailing design notes, and preparing documentation. When working with clients, you will be confident and well spoken, working over Zoom, face-to-face in the studio or onsite as needed.
You will have a passion for architectural light and the value of design and art. You will be confident with reading and interpreting plans, technical data, and construction notes. Professional, confident communication is essential as well as the ability to focus, follow systems and bring creative problem-solving skills to your work. You’ll be an active listener, flexible of mind and seeking to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
Experience in professional lighting design is required, and experience in construction and illumination engineering will also be highly regarded.
Excellent software skills are a must including CAD/Revit, AGI32 and SketchUp as well as Office365 suite and online apps such as Canva and Dropbox.

The breadth of experience to be gained with MINT Lighting Design is unsurpassed. This role will be well-remunerated between $75K - $85K based on experience and commitment to excellence, with a bonus structure tied to performance.
