As a Facilities Officer, you'll be responsible for conducting reactive and preventative maintenance tasks across our diverse range of university fitness facilities, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and maintained to the highest standards.
You are self motivated to work autonomously under direction of the Facility Supervisor within the guidelines set by UQ Sport and the University. You thrive in a small team environment, value workplace safety, and are committed to delivering exceptional service.
In this role you will:
- Perform reactive maintenance tasks in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities, including cleaning and periodic inspections.
- Provide technical advice on maintenance and equipment management.
- Assist in event set-up and pack down for smooth logistics during events.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure facility maintenance needs are met.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Proven experience in a trade or maintenance team.
- Familiarity with work order systems and reporting.
- Ability to work autonomously within a small team.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- A Class C Driver's License.
