Bupa Woodend is a modern care home nestled in the heart of the Macedon Ranges, about an hour north of Melbourne and is surrounded by beautiful bush scenery and gardens.  It consists of 107 beds, with respite and dementia care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About The Role  

As a Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of property services, including repairs and maintenance, to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.   

 Duties 

  • Provide repairs and maintenance support to the care home across a wide scope of activities including; landscaping and garden maintenance; general repairs; waste removal; painting and test and tagging 
  • Assist in the sourcing of appropriate service providers and contractors, utilising relevant IT and purchasing systems 
  • Assist in the management of Property Services projects 
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety and Property Services Quality Assurance procedures  

Skills and Experience 

  • Experience in Property Maintenance and Building Works 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Safety  
  • The ability to solve problems independently
