You will be assisting the Department Manager in maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings of the Hotel. You will be working as part of our Maintenance Team to ensure that the Hotel remains a functional, pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and team members.
Main responsibilities of this job include:
- Carry out maintenance requirements and following up as scheduled by the property's Property Management System.
- Assist in keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Liaise with supervisors/managers/contractors regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.
- Complete daily plant rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
Qualifications
- Understanding of general repairs and maintenance of plumbing, electrical and hydraulic.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong English communication.
- Reliable and works well under pressure.
- C class driver licence
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to positively engage with guests ensuring their stay is memorable.
- Energetic, motivated and efficient at multi-tasking while working independently.
- Honest, punctual, reliable and physically fit.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to your work
