As the Maintenance and Handyperson, you will support Disney Studios Australia (renamed from Fox Studios Australia), located in Moore Park. Disney Studios Australia is a world-class film & television studio facility designed and tailored for Disney motion picture productions as well as third party television and motion picture productions companies.
Occupying a 32-acre site and providing facilities of the highest industry standards, the studio features nine sound stages, several production offices, workshops, and hosts around 50 independent entertainment industry businesses. The history of the site provides an eclectic mix of new and old buildings, and manicured landscapes create proportion and space.
The position is responsible for repair and maintenance works as allocated or scheduled by the Facilities Manager or as directed by Disney Studios Australia management. Works can range from general basic repairs, basic plumbing, carpentry/basic joinery, to fixing odd jobs as required.
Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Embrace a proactive attitude to providing best possible customer service to all clients and staff
Report all issues, even if they are not pertaining to your area of control, anticipate problems and help ensure a clean, safe working environment
Carpentry/joinery repairs and maintenance
Continuously review need for and attend to maintenance painting across site
General labouring
Assisting other team members
Maintaining a neat and tidy workshop
Stock control
To be successful in this role, you will hold:
Building or Technical Trade Skills
Previous experience in General and commercial building maintenance
Basic computer skills
Ability to repair equipment
Hold a Class C Unrestricted driver’s license
Trade certificate / licenses
