Form of work Local farm is seeking the services of an experienced Orchard Hand (in particular someone that has worked in an Apple or Cherry Orchard) to work in the Orange / Canobolas area. This work is available for the 2024 season and will involve a range of duties, such as forklift driving and operation, pruning and tree maintenance, tractor operation, mowing, weed spraying and irrigation. Must be willing to obtain forklift license if you don't already have one. Truck license is an advantage but not essential.
Applicants must be available to work 5-6 days per week depending on weather conditions and market demands, have their own reliable transport, be physically fit and able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
The successful applicant must have previously work in an orchard / vineyard or farm. Wage negotiable depending on skills, experience and licenses.
This work is paid under the Horticulture Award.
