Helia EHS are looking for experienced professionals to expand our Adelaide office.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide consultancy services and to the Helia Occupational Hygiene, Hazmat, Safety and Environment (OHSE) team, project work (utilisation) and assist in market growth.
Do you have three years or more experience and you are a Licenced Asbestos Assessor (LAA) or working towards this. You will also have a tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Science or similar then we encourage you to read on.
Your main duties include:
- Assist in development of the OHSE sector within the company.
- Specific client management and coordination.
- Project work
- Completion of Helia projects and associated aspects in line with the company policies (including its Integrated Management System comprising EHS and Quality).
- Completion of projects (including but not limited to Occupational Hygiene services to our major clients, Hazardous Materials, projects requiring time away from home where needed, Risk Assessments, Audits, Preparation/development of management plans, systems, consulting, etc as necessary), and associated aspects (including project management and report writing) in line with direction provided by Helia Management.
- Participate in any required or recommended training.
- Assist in continually improving its management systems so that opportunities for improvement are recognised and implemented.

- Flexibility to work out of normal hours and on weekends on an occasional basis to meet client needs. These events typically occur at short notice and whilst not predictable in each occurrence are expected to occur on several occasions each month. These allocated around the team to minimise the demand on any one individual.
- As many of the sites audited are industrial facilities, you need to be aware that working in elevated locations, in noisy, dusty and similar environments may be required. Whilst appropriate PPE and training is provided, you must make us aware of any limitations of working in such environments prior to signing any agreement or contract.
- A class A driver’s licence (manual) is required.
- Positive approach to change (essential).
