A little about the role:
Are you an experienced HC or MC Driver who is not interested with working away? If so, this is the role for you! Centurion is looking to recruit experienced HC and MC Drivers to join our metro team based in Perth Airport. Drivers are responsible for the safe transportation of general freight to and from customer specified sites in the metropolitan/ regional metropolitan area depending on shift, ensuring our supplier and customer commitments are met on schedule and in good condition. The successful candidate MUST have ugly freight experience. These opportunities are offered on a full time basis.
What your days would look like:
- Local Pick Ups & Deliveries to our vendors and clients around the metro/ regional metro areas
- Securing and restraining all loads in a safe and efficient manner
- Carrying out vehicle pre start checks
- Adhering to safety and procedural requirements
- Maintaining accurate paperwork
Do you tick these boxes?
- Current HC or MC Drivers Licence with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Previous experience with palletised and ugly freight is a MUST
- For MC, experience with double road trains are a MUST
- Experience and familiarity with Perth metropolitan area
- Experience with load restraints, including the ability to load and unload your own truck
- Current LF licence (is highly regarded however not essential)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation
