Cardinal Contractors is a WA locally owned and operated rehabilitation earthworks company, experienced with planning and executing exceptional work for some of the world’s largest resource companies since 1962. Through attention to detail and a safe and positive work ethic, Cardinals delivers their expertise throughout Western Australia, including significant operations in the North and South West.

Cardinal Contractors are expanding their workforce and are looking for Heavy Duty Fitters / Mechanics on 2:1 rosters, day shift only, DIDO or FIFO available.

The skills, experience and knowledge required for this role includes:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience post completion of HD Fitter Apprenticeship
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• HD Trade Certificate / Certificate of Completion / Certificate of Proficiency
• Current forklift licence
• Roster experience
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge and practical application of Workplace OH&S
• Must have Current Police Clearance (obtained within the last 12 months)
• White card
• HR drivers license or above

In addition, it would be advantageous to have experience in:

• Overhead cranes / heavy duty machinery
• Electronics and air conditioning
• Komastu and Hitachi Machinery
• Mack and Kenworth Triple Road Trains
