About the role
We are seeking HD Mechanics to join our Thiess Western Region Maintenance hub located in Hazelmere. The Maintenance Hub is designed to support repairs and refurbish a variety of Mining Equipment and Components within Thiess and subsidiary internal Asset refurbishment requirements as well as external key Tier 1 mining customers.
With a strong pipeline of machine refurbishments including major component changes on a fleet of CAT 793F's, this position also offers a great working atmosphere with potential to grow your career into any aspect of maintenance and asset management within the Thiess group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- The disassembly, inspection and assembly of large-scale mobile mining equipment components in accordance with OEM maintenance system documentation & specifications
- Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
- Maintaining the workshop area to a high standard of housekeeping & organisation
- Working within a dedicated team to deliver a high level of workmanship
About you
- Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or equivalent
- Valid WA Driver’s License
- Sound experience in component rebuilds and machine overhauls
- Must be well organised, methodical and have an eye for detail
- A demonstrated commitment to safety, safe work practices & risk awareness
