We are currently seeking a Head Chef to lead our energetic & skilled team..
As Venue Head Chef – Lovedale Bar + Grill, your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavour will complete each guest’s experience. By taking pride in your workspace, keeping your standards high, and giving our menu the benefit of your expertise, you’ll create some of our guests’ most lasting memories. You will be responsible for supervising junior members of the kitchen brigade.
A little taste of your day to day:
Supporting the Executive Sous Chef & Executive Chef to;
Deliver exceptional food and service, ensuring a high standard of consistency and quality
Recruiting and managing a team
Effective and efficient running of the kitchen in line with company standards
Develop and implement interesting and popular menu ideas
Inspire and energise your team to be the best they can be
Create and maintain policies and procedures
Adhering to all Health and safety regulations
All training and development of staff as well as performance management
Ensuring that food costs and wages, are meeting budget
Conducting stocktakes and remedying any issues of non-compliance or poor performance, enforcing stock management policies and procedures
What we need from you:
Experienced - Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience. You will already be in a leadership role looking to take culinary control of your own venue.
Qualified - Certificate III in commercial cookery required with certificate IV or above highly regarded
Demonstrated - The ability to plan, prepare and organise both yourself and a team of people
