With operations on four continents, we are honoured to be named the mining industry leader by the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the past five years and the only one listed in the S&P 500 index.About this roleKey work of the role includes, supporting the development of the Commercial Strategy to align commercial efforts to business strategy, considering the macro-economic and political contexts, in particular inflation, sustainability commitments, and technological and mine modernization operational requirements.Developing performance metrics and methodologies and tools for the analysis and monitoring of efficiency and effectiveness across the commercial value chain and recommend and implement improvements to systems and processes. Supporting risk management identification and mitigation for the function; and establishing, prioritizing, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including financial indicators such as ROIC, working capital, total delivered cost, and others.Your role will consist ofRisk & Assurance

• Establish a comprehensive risk program tailored for commercial operations aligned with Risk Management reporting standards and processes.
• Provide support to ensure compliance with standards and oversee management action plans.
• Provide KYC and KYS capabilities to ensure commercial transactions are aligned to all regulatory requirements, Newmont standards and values.
• Deliver analysis and metrics to monitor governance, compliance, and risk programs.
• Provide ESG reporting requirements for commercial activities

Commercial Strategy, Market Analysis & Reporting

• Support the development of strategic plans for the commercial discipline encompassing supply chain value chain, and marketing.
• Provide insights from performance reporting, forecasting, and business plan development.
• Conduct market and industry analysis, identifying market trends and highlighting opportunities and threats to Newmont objectives.
• Support internal and external communication needs related to commercial activities.

Centre of Excellence & Business Improvement

• Provide business improvement activities across the commercial team.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within commercial.
• Develop and implement standards, operating procedures, and ways of working within commercial operations.
• Collaborate with IT for systems projects and implementation to support commercial objectives.
• Ensure the Business Process Owner role is appropriately leveraged and managed.

• Advanced proficiency monitoring socio-political and business trends that may have impact on the supply chain, sales and marketing activities and business profitability.
• Advanced proficiency in identifying business improvement and opportunity generation programs.
• Advanced proficiency in risk identification and mitigation as well as governance and assurance oversight.
• Advanced Proficiency in data analysis, insight generation, reporting and forecasting.
