AddressSupport Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers.
We are partnering with a long-term specialist Disability Service provider operating and we have a plenty of work opportunities currently available within their SIL services located in Southern Adelaide, suburbs include: Christies Beach, Morphett Vale, Seacombe Gardens, Sturt, Tonsley, Fullarton, Mitchell Park & Park Holme
What you need:
- Experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.
- Flexible availability and be willing to work a combination of morning, afternoon and overnight shifts.
- Demonstrated experience supporting clients with complex challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrated experience with following PBS plans.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be well organised and able to work as part of a team.
- Experience driving a company van to transport clients.
- Class C Australian Driver's License.
- First Aid Certificate.
- CPR.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children's Check.
- Manual Handling Training.
- Medication Training (face-to-face).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Reliable smart phone with data.
- Provide day-to-day support to people with a disability in various environments to help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), overnight (predominately sleep overs)
- Combination of 3hr short shifts and long shifts available
- Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
- Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
- Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
- Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
- Must be able to drive company vans to transport participants to community-based outings.
- Pay rates, terms and conditions better than any other staffing agency across Adeliade.
- Weekday, weekend shift loadings and overtime penalties per the industry award.
- Casual position with consistent hours & routine rosters however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts.
- Empowered by a dedicated Service Delivery Practice Excellence team providing you support, supervision, coaching and guidance.
- Work with a variety of participants, in a variety of support arrangements.
- Easy-to-use rostering app which allows you to view and accept shifts, complete reports/documents and update your availability.
