We are seeking experienced Head Cook for this great property located in outback South Australia.
The kitchen is open 7 days per week and caters to in-house guests, passing travellers and staff meals. This is a small but extremely busy kitchen.
This role would suit a hands on kitchen professional with the ability to handle to overall management of the kitchen, with a flair for presentation and excellent stock control skills. Managing all aspects of the kitchen in this busy onsite cafe catering to in house guests and day trippers.
The isolation and unique location means there is nowhere else in the world like this! There is nothing to spend your money on so it’s the perfect location to save your hard earned money!

- Casual Position – 6 Days Per week
- $40.77 per hour-Loaded rate (equivalent to approximately $95,000 per year)
- Accommodation & Meals Provided
- Own room -air conditioned, TV etc – own bathroom
- This is a very hands on role
- Day to day management of the kitchen overseeing 1 – 2 kitchen staff
- Working in the kitchen cooking short order and bistro style meals
- Maintain a clean kitchen
- Monitoring stock levels, stock ordering, stock control
- Offering excellence in service
- Other directions as required
- Must have previous remote area experience
- Prefer candidates to have own vehicle
- Previous experience in a similar senior role
- Be willing to make a minimum 12 month commitment
- Be willing to work split shifts when required
- Able to work as part of a team
- Sealed roads via car
- Candidates will ideally have their own vehicle
- Pick up from closest town can be arranged
- Telstra Mobile coverage-WiFi available
