About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing dynamic team at Bene Aged Care as our Head Cook for our 80-bed facility at Bene St. Pauls Hahndorf.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be working collaboratively with the Hospitality Services Manager and have an opportunity to engage with the residents about their meal preferences and requests to ensure they are satisfied. You will be responsible for overseeing traditional compliance activities including food safety, OHS, and quality.

You will be responsible for
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team
- Production and delivery of high-quality meals
- Stock control and ordering additional stock as and when required
- Managing resident dietary requirements
- Kitchen and food cost management
- Service excellence around all aspects of the dining experience
- Strong front-of-house presence including communication with residents and families
- Providing management and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth operation
What we look for
- Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Cook
- Minimum 3 years experience in Aged Care (essential)
- Staff management and leadership experience
- National Police Certificate
- Minimum 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and seasonal influenza vaccination
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
