Head Gardeners / Qualified Gardeners / Mower Operators

Citywide is recruiting for Head Gardeners/Qualified Gardeners and Mower Operators to work within our prestigious open space contract in Melbourne’s CBD, maintaining some of the City’s most iconic parks and gardens.

• Depots across the CBD
• Monday to Friday 7am to 3.06pm

Responsibilities of the roles include but are not limited to:

• Litter & Leaf collection, Weeding, spraying, mulching, pruning, planting, hand watering and all aspects of garden maintenance.
• Mowing, turf improvement works, pre-event site preparation, machine operations and machinery maintenance.

Skills and experience required:

• Previous relevant experience in a similar role
• Cert 3 or Cert 4 in Horticulture or equivalent
• MR Licence (Desirable)
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence
• Knowledge of herbicide application techniques (Desirable)
• Traffic Management experience (Desirable)
• First Aid (Desirable)
• Cert 3 Chemical User
• Disease and Pest Control Identification Certificate (Desirable)
• Excellent work ethic
• Team player
• Motivated
• Good communication skills
• Focus on safety of self and others
