About the Role

Lead and develop the Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) strategy in line with Digital & Transformation’s and icare’s strategic objectives through collaboration with the General Manager Data, Analytics, Automation, AI and the Digital & Transformation (D&T) leadership team and relevant stakeholders across icare. Lead the development and execution of AI & ML initiatives and provide thought leadership to the team by driving innovation and ensuring the successful integration of emerging technologies in the AI & ML space. Oversee development and implementation of AI/ML Governance and Ethics adherence.

Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Head ofArtificial Intelligence & Machine Learning you will:

• Oversee and implement icare and D&Ts AI/ML strategy by providing a clear vision for the function and developing a deep understanding of the AI/ML needs of the business.
• Build and lead a high performing team of Machine Learning engineers and AI specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning in the AI/ML space.
• Provide strategic insights and data-driven decision support to the D&T leadership team, using AI/ML analytics to inform strategic decision-making across icare.
• Lead the design and deployment of AI/ML models and solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
• Ensure the successful implementation of AI/ML projects, ensuring the alignment of these with business requirements, and deployed within project timelines and budgets.
• Oversee development and implementation of AI/ML Governance and Ethics adherence.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as computer science, engineering, information technology or a related discipline
• Minimum 15 year’s experience in a similar role.
• Extensive hands-on experience in AI/ML, with a proven track record of leading successful AI/ML projects.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning resources, and other relevant professionals.
• Experience in delivering and executing AI/ML strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for AI/ML applications and address challenges.
• Ability to collaborate with different teams and departments to ensure successful AI/ML integration.
