Our client is a major asset owner and contributor to Brisbane's economy, and is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to take on a Head of Assets (building facilities and infrastructure) role.
This strategic asset management role will oversee all building facilities and infrastructure assets across a major precinct. The Head of Assets will be responsible for a 40+ team, you will be tasked with ensuring the maintenance and operations of the precinct, and developing the strategic direction and framework.
Key responsibilities of this role include creating strategic and operational plans to manage the cost-effective operation and ongoing management of assets, ensuring maximum efficiency, quality standards, and effective use of external service providers.
You will also be responsible for leading and supporting the team to deliver against the business plan, managing policy development activities, and overseeing the development and implementation of asset management plans for all critical assets.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and leader, with advanced negotiating and influencing capabilities and highly developed interpersonal skills. You should also have experience in leading and developing high-performing, customer-centric teams and extensive contract management experience. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Building Operations, Facilities Management, or a related field are required.
