HorizonOne Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a reputable consulting firm who specialise in strategic advice, policy, communications, stakeholder engagement, research, change and transformation, awareness campaigns, digital strategy, and design.
The Opportunity
As the Head of Campaign and Communications, you’ll be driving the nationwide implementation of a significant behavioural change and awareness campaign tailored to support and educate small businesses, with a target audience of over 5 million Australians. The campaign will involve the development of national media releases, podcasts, stakeholder engagement sessions, webinars, newsletters and how-do guides.

  • With a substantial investment in this initiative, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the resilience of small businesses and fostering behavioural transformations
  • Choose between engaging in a fixed-term contract or permanent employment, with the flexibility to be based in Canberra or Melbourne
The Role
Your duties will include the following:
  • Develop and deliver innovative marketing campaigns in collaboration with digital and social marketing advisers
  • Develop stakeholder engagement strategies, while working collaboratively with clients, media, government and community organisations
  • Management of timelines, resourcing, allocation of tasks, team management, contract negotiations and budget monitoring
  • Produce and deliver a diverse range of high-quality communication products and services which will include, online, digital, and social media content, publications, media releases, presentation material, insights, reports, and promotional products to support the delivery of the national awareness and education campaigns
The Ideal Person
You will hold over 10+ years’ experience in government or corporate communications with demonstrated experience developing and delivering high-level campaign strategies.
You will be a dynamic individual with a proven track record in cultivating robust and lasting relationships across various media platforms, including managing impactful partnerships with media outlets, government entities, corporations, suppliers, and individual stakeholders
  • Exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and high expectations for quality
  • Experience in project delivery and management is essential, demonstrating the capability to effectively oversee multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and to work autonomously to achieve agreed plans and objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the maturity to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders from various backgrounds and walks of life
Salary / Rate
  • $145,000 - $165,000 + 11% super.
  • Location: Canberra or Melbourne
  • Remote working arrangements are available for this role
  • Engagement: Fixed-term or permanent options available
  • Flexible working arrangements available
