Hydro Aluminium Metal is a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of more than 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy. Aluminium Metal Commercial is responsible for the global sale of Hydro’s casthouse products from both fully owned and partly owned facilities. In the transition towards greener economy, Hydro takes leadership by providing low carbon aluminium products to the market. The Sheet Ingot (SI) & Foundry Alloys (FA) Product Area in Commercial is an important contributor to Aluminum Metal’s commercial success, as well as our sustainability efforts in the European markets.To meet our ambitions in further developing our portfolio in support of Aluminium Metal’s strategies, we are now hiring a key resource, Head of Customer Technical Support Sheet Ingot and Foundry Alloys. You will join a highly competent and solution-oriented team, triggered by creating success through our customers, in close collaboration with our sheet ingot and foundry alloy casthouses in Høyanger, Årdal and Sunndal. You will manage a dedicated team, and work as an integral part of the SIFA organization and management team. To shape SI and FA`s exciting greener transition and to further develop our low carbon Aluminium brand REDUXA Main responsibilities

Ensuring world class technical service and support towards customers Own the R&D agenda for Sheet Ingot and Foundry Alloys and ensure customer and market orientation in R&D portfolio Work strategically to develop and support our product and low carbon aluminium offering in partnerships, with key customers and the sales organization In cooperation with PM Quality management ensure that Sales and Marketing related activities are according to Quality management system (ISO 9001, IATF etc). Efficient claims and complaints handling, processing and categorization Take a key role in the development and implementation of product strategies for the product area Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across our processes and activities Develop the organization, its people and teams and drive systematic technical knowledge management Contribute to the development of our casthouses based on market developments and customer requirements Identify and follow up customer survey actions Qualifications University degree within Material Science or similar Experience within casthouse products (production, sales etc) and/or from R&D Excellent interpersonal - and communication skills Fluent in English - oral and written, other languages are considered beneficial Experience and training in improvement work (Lean management), Quality Management and product & process audits according to VDA Who are you? We believe you are an experienced professional with extensive experience from the aluminium industry. You are a team player with a can-do-attitude, proven technology management skills and experience from working with customers. You have in depth knowledge about our products and a curiosity regarding our sustainability journey. Additional information

The position reports to Head of Sheet Ingot and Foundry Alloys Product Area, and is located in Oslo, Norway or Bonn / Germany. All Norwegian Hydro primary production sites can also be considered.
