As our epic growth continues, we have a newly created role for a Head of Cyber Security to join our Technology Team, based in our State-of-the-Art Support Office, in Cremorne Melbourne.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Technology team as the Head of Cyber Security. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to safeguard our organization's information assets, systems, and networks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and effectively deliver the cybersecurity roadmap aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the cybersecurity team, ensuring a proactive and risk-based approach to cybersecurity
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and maintain effective risk mitigation strategies to protect sensitive information.

Security Architecture:

  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust cybersecurity architecture that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of security and compliance technologies, ensuring optimal performance and effectiveness.
  • Incident Response:
  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan to address cybersecurity incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Lead and coordinate response efforts during cybersecurity incidents, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
  • The role may require flexibility to accommodate deployments / incidents outside of hours

Compliance and Standards

  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the organization's compliance.
  • Establish and maintain a cybersecurity compliance program to meet regulatory requirements.

Security Awareness and Training:

  • Implement a comprehensive security awareness and training program for employees, ensuring a strong cybersecurity culture across the organization.

Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and their cybersecurity practices to mitigate potential risks to the organization.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Legal, and executive leadership, to integrate cybersecurity into all aspects of the business.
  • Build the team capability to grow and mature delivery methods, processes and Cybersecurity principles as the business grows
  • Cultivate a working environment that motivates, attracts and retains great cybersecurity people while encouraging innovation and execution
  • Build a culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement, innovative thinking and the pursuit of excellence

To be successful you will ideally have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a senior cybersecurity leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and team engagement capability
  • Exceptional communication skills across all business facets and with partners/vendors
  • Ability to align key stakeholders and influence business outcomes
  • Ability to identify, allocate and monitor performance of team members to successfully deliver outcomes to agreed timeframes
  • Experience working in a fast-paced culture
