Insignia Financial is investing in a new era of Cyber Security. With an engaged Board of Directors and Executive team, led by our CISO, James Ng, we're looking for a leader to head our Cyber Security Engineering team. We're investing in a new generation of security technologies and platforms to protect our clients and our organisation. This is a fresh start, an opportunity to be part of a newly consolidated team and shape the future of Cyber Security at Insignia Financial. You'll lead a team of experts, implement security controls, optimise our technology landscape, and ensure that our enterprise security controls are robust and resilient. With a dedicated budget and a newly approved Cyber Security operating model, we're strategically refreshing our processes and technology to empower the business and achieve greater security and resilience. The opportunity to join our team

This role is an opportunity to lead and shape the future of Cyber Security at Insignia Financial, driving excellence in Security Engineering and ensuring robust protection against evolving cyber threats. As the Head of Cyber Security Engineering, you will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational direction. Your role involves championing the secure design, implementation, and optimisation of core security technologies, platforms, and services to build a robust defence and protection against cyber threats. You will be at the forefront of our security tooling and capabilities, ensuring that our substantial investment in tools translates into real-world security enhancements. Demonstrating how these tools can deliver a return on investment by fine-tuning and optimising their performance is a key responsibility. Ongoing maintenance, deployment, and implementation of these tools are part of your duties, working closely with other security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. Your leadership in enterprise security controls will ensure their implementation aligns with engineering, design, and assurance requirements. Operational resilience is a key focus, with responsibilities extending to managing incident overflow and participating in crisis response and recovery efforts.

Your role will require both technical prowess and leadership skills, with a clear and strategic vision for our security capabilities. You will need to simplify complex concepts and demonstrate high-level influence and accountability. A deep understanding of how technology works, hands-on experience, and the ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done are essential. Collaboration across the security teams is crucial to your success; you will not work in isolation. A customer-centric mindset is vital, as you will enable the success of our security initiatives by strategically managing and mapping the way forward with current security tools in use. Your expertise in vendor management, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing relationship management, will ensure the best outcomes for our security technology investments. Additionally, an analytical mindset, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and performance optimisation, will be key to your success.
