Our client is a global luxury, privately owned real estate developer operating in various markets worldwide, whose core business is delivering high-end master-planned communities and luxury high-rise mixed-used development & leisure real estate projects. The Head of Design will oversee programs and projects according to rigorous standards, policies, and procedures, while leading a team of Design professionals to deliver exceptional results within specified budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Contribution:
- Develop and translate functional strategy into actionable departmental plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Functional Accountabilities:
- Establish and maintain robust technical design standards aligned with global best practices.
- Direct and manage design consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of project designs, reviewing adherence to technical criteria and standards.
- Provide expert technical support and conduct thorough design audits to validate accuracy and maintain high standards.
- Lead and guide the design team from initial concept through to project delivery, including comprehensive construction documentation.
- Oversee the preparation and meticulous review of Tender Documentation Packages, ensuring completeness and compliance with requirements.
- Enforce adherence to Design Guidelines, Brand Standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
People Management:
- Set clear objectives, manage performance, and foster the professional development of team members to optimize individual and sectional performance.
- Uphold and promote organizational values and ethics, serving as a role model within the team and across the organization.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
- Implement and monitor departmental policies, procedures, and controls to ensure rigorous compliance and the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and practices, with a focus on global standards, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction.
Reporting:
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of comprehensive unit reports that meet company standards and support effective decision-making.
Frameworks, Boundaries, & Decision-Making Authority:
- Operate within the established frameworks of company policies, governance structures, and approved authorization matrix.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Experience in related projects
