About the role:

How you'll make a difference:
The Enterprise Applications Unit plays a pivotal role in advancing innovative and suitable technology solutions, as well as providing level 3 highly skilled product specialists providing service support for 150+ solutions. The unit is responsible for gathering and analysing business needs to elicit high-level requirements and design solutions based on endorsed platforms, including the department's Digital Solution Platform (DSP), various Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms, Web and Reporting platforms, or Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based solutions for specific needs. Additionally, the unit provides superior level 3 support and maintenance services for solutions developed or implemented by the Program Delivery Unit. The unit also manages third-party vendors who provide level 3 support on its behalf.
The Head of Enterprise Applications Unit will play a critical role in driving technological advancement and ensuring the unit's smooth operation within the department through professional leadership and technical expertise. The role will implement best practises, focus on continuous improvement, and lead critical incident response and recovery. This role is expected to engage with key executive stakeholders in the sector, including the Department of Health, the Department of Family, Fairness & Housing, and the Whole of Victorian Government.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
Significant experience and a proven track record working in a senior role providing strategic leadership in a complex and sensitive environment.
The ability to translate organisational strategy into meaningful objectives and long-term plans towards achieving cyber resilience.
Strong experience in stakeholder management with a focus on stakeholders with a range of complex or conflicting needs and expectations and building mutually beneficial partnerships.
