About You:
With significant experience leading multidisciplined teams coupled with a strong financial background boasting 10+ years, you have demonstrated experience operating at a senior capacity advising executives, CEOs, and Boards on strategic financial matters. With a commitment to values-based decision-making and strong negotiation skills, you possess the ability to listen, understand, and modify positions to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes, while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and mitigating risks associated with business services functions. You have led and contributed to planning and policy development that inform annual business plans with positive and accurate outcomes. Additionally, you are not just about the numbers; you have a strong desire to lead, motivate, and develop your team to foster a positive culture across all teams.
About the role:
As the Head of Finance, your primary responsibility is to provide independent strategic financial and commercial advice and analysis to maintain the ongoing financial stability of Hydro Tasmania. Your scope of work includes leading a range of financial services such as Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Commercial Finance, Retail Finance, and Business Services, providing guidance and support as needed. Additionally, you'll oversee specialised areas like corporate budgets, financial and performance reporting, financial policy, regulatory and compliance advice, and decision support and analysis, which involve financial modelling, planning, forecasting, and project financing services. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial Finance Team by ensuring clear and accurate communication of Trading Performance and advocating for financially sound business strategies with the Board and other executives.
