The Head of Futures is a significant leadership position at MLC. It leads our Careers, Pathways and Vocational Educational learning activities and works collaboratively with wider teaching staff, to develop programs and implement strategies that encourage a love of learning and guide each individual student to define and achieve their future pathway. 

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• An understanding of the multifarious pathways available to students at school and beyond
• Experience working with students and families on course selection and pathway plans
• Knowledge of endorsed courses, units and WACE requirements
• Established networks and relationships with key higher education providers including Universities, TAFE, RTOs and industry
• An innovative, proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Ability to lead learning and develop and implement diverse initiatives
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills at all levels
• Demonstrated influencing and negotiation capabilities
• Strong planning, project management and prioritisation skills 
• A commitment to girls’ education in an all girls’ environment
• Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications and TRBWA registration
