The Head of Futures is a significant leadership position at MLC. It leads our Careers, Pathways and Vocational Educational learning activities and works collaboratively with wider teaching staff, to develop programs and implement strategies that encourage a love of learning and guide each individual student to define and achieve their future pathway.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- An understanding of the multifarious pathways available to students at school and beyond
- Experience working with students and families on course selection and pathway plans
- Knowledge of endorsed courses, units and WACE requirements
- Established networks and relationships with key higher education providers including Universities, TAFE, RTOs and industry
- An innovative, proactive and enthusiastic approach
- Ability to lead learning and develop and implement diverse initiatives
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills at all levels
- Demonstrated influencing and negotiation capabilities
- Strong planning, project management and prioritisation skills
- A commitment to girls’ education in an all girls’ environment
- Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications and TRBWA registration
