About the role

We are searching for an experienced leader who will provide vision and direction for developing and implementing innovative ICT services. A key enabler, you will deliver educational and business services whilst ensuring compliance with key regulatory requirements.

You will naturally engage and collaborate with the School Leadership Team and decision makers in faculties and departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support contemporary cost-effective ICT solutions for all aspects of the School.

We are embarking on a new five year program of upgrading key business solutions across the School, including educational management, financial management and customer relationship management solutions. A key success criteria for the role will be the successful planning and implementation of the program as well as leading the ongoing operations to continue to deliver state of the art technologies throughout the school.

Key areas of responsibility include (but not limited to);

  • ICT Strategy and Planning
  • People and Relationship Management
  • Acquisition and Deployment of ICT Infrastructure and Solutions
  • Operational ICT Management
  • Program and Project Management
  • Overall School Leadership
Key Selection Criteria Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Significant experience with the delivery of successful ICT systems and design and development in a large organisation from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
  • Proven experience in program and project management
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of ICT services
  • Demonstrated success in applying ICT to solve business problems and/or improve business outcomes
  • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a leader and people manager
  • Degree or post-graduate qualifications in computer science, information systems or business administration
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
