Joining CGGS is an opportunity to be part of a community that is committed to providing outstanding educational experiences for all students.The RoleThe Head of Inclusive Learning and Enrichment, reporting to the Director of Senior School (Learning and Innovation), oversees the implementation of an Inclusive Learning environment in the Senior School at CGGS. This involves coordinating programs, identifying and monitoring students with diverse needs (learning difficulties, gifted education, EAL/D, ELICOS, disabilities), fostering student connection, and promoting the development of skills and self-confidence.The key focus is on maximising student engagement and learning by supporting staff in differentiating for all ability levels (including curriculum, pedagogy, and professional development). Working closely with the Director of Senior School (Learning and Innovation) and Heads of Faculty, the Head of Inclusive Learning and Enrichment plays a key role in steering the strategic direction of teaching and learning in line with the school's overarching strategic design.The Head of Inclusive Learning and Enrichment is a member of the Curriculum Team and plays a pivotal role in advancing curriculum and pedagogy, as well as fostering continuous professional development within the teaching staff. Strong leadership, a comprehensive understanding of student needs, and effective communication skills are essential in successful collaboration with teaching staff, students, and families.The ability to inspire students through engaging and challenging teaching is essential. Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, the International Baccalaureate (MYP and/or DP) and the BSSS Programmes would be highly regarded.Our staff share a passion for excellence in teaching and have a record of fostering outstanding student achievement. Collaboration and a commitment to professional learning are highly valued.Appropriate academic qualifications and teacher training, as well as a sound understanding of current educational trends are required. All teaching staff members are expected to take part in the whole life of the School including participation in pastoral care and involvement in co-curricular School activities.
