Your new role

The Strategy & Corporate Affairs (S&CA) Domain is accountable for protecting and promoting the Fund's reputation and for setting and pursuing strategies to transform the Fund and the system in which we operate to drive better outcomes for members and achieve our purpose to help members achieve their best financial position in retirement.

The Head of Leadership and Corporate Connection is a key global leadership role, that will be responsible for building the communications capabilities of leaders at AustralianSuper to foster a positive culture, build trust and inspire employees.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Chief Executive and Executive Communications & Engagement -supporting the delivery of CE and Executive communications across channels and events to effectively communicate purpose, values, strategy and priorities with a consistent message and tone to build a positive organisational narrative that drives culture and high performance.
  • Senior Leader Network - support the Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer to develop the strategy for the engagement and enablement of the Senior Leader Network as a cohort of global enterprise leaders to drive a members first culture, strategy, and high performance across the fund.
  • Leadership Communication - design and implement leadership communication development programs that align with organisational strategy and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. Provide coaching and mentoring to executives and leaders, enhancing their leadership communication capabilities.
  • Internal Communication Strategy - Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communication strategy that aligns with organisational strategy and priorities and ensures consistent messaging across all levels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging communication plans that enhance employee understanding, engagement and alignment with purpose and strategy.
  • Team Leadership - Lead and mentor the internal communications team, providing strategic direction, support and professional development opportunities while fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture that delivers high-quality, impactful internal communication initiatives.
  • Change Management Communication - Collaborate with Fund Services, Colleagues and Culture and senior leadership to develop communication plans for large scale organisational changes, ensuring that employees are well-informed and engaged during periods of transition.
  • Metrics and Evaluation - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for leadership development and internal communication initiatives. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement

What you'll need

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, finance, business or a related field (mandatory)
  • Experience developing and delivering leadership and internal communications strategies appropriate to a leading national industry superannuation fund and significant global investor
  • Experience in a global financial services or investment management organisation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and networking skills
  • Ability to act as a trusted adviser to the Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer, Chief Executive, Chief Colleague and Culture Officer and Chief Operation Officer and the Executive on questions of internal communication, communication styles, colleague and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong written and verbal communication ability, including ability to capture the voice of others as required
  • Sound understanding of ethical, commercial business practices
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in high pressure and complex environments
  • Ability to work cross functionally to deliver sound outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders
