Join Perth College in the dynamic role of Head of Department, leading our dedicated and experienced Learning Engagement team. Your primary focus will be fostering an inclusive educational environment, crafting, implementing, and evaluating educational programs tailored to students with diverse learning needs. This encompasses creating equitable adjustments for students with disabilities, those learning English as an additional language or dialect, and gifted students.
This is a full-time ongoing position that aligns with our comprehensive Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 Learning and Teaching strategy. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting class teachers to customize the curriculum for students requiring support and/or extension, spanning both our Junior and Senior Schools.
Collaboration is key; you'll work closely with classroom teachers, sharing your expertise and resources to develop engaging educational units that ignite student enthusiasm and support their learning growth. Effective communication with families is crucial for success in this role.
We're looking for applicants who can showcase their ability to meet the outlined success criteria in the job description, supported by examples highlighting their skills and experience from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Formal qualifications in Inclusive Education and Positive Education principles are advantageous.
