About the role
The Head of Marketing leads the Group’s strategic and operational marketing activities to establish its brand and course offerings in its target markets and to drive new student enrolment.
Reporting to the General Manager, Future Students, this role is responsible for strategy, planning and managing operational execution of the Group’s marketing activities. The scope of the role spans all student markets (domestic and international), all geographies (onshore and offshore) and all channels (direct-to-consumer, agent-intermediated, partnerships, digital, physical, and so on).

Key Responsibilities include:
- Strategic marketing: develop, implement, and report against a group marketing plan and budget.
- Product development and launch: gain a deep understanding of the group’s target markets and how it competes/its points of differentiation.
- International and domestic student recruitment: work closely with the Senior Sales Manager (international students) and Team Leader (course advisors) (domestic students) to support recruitment activities.
- Operational reporting: report and present on the performance of Marketing activities to the management team and internal governance bodies (e.g. Board of Directors).
- Vendor Management: Select and manage external vendors, such as digital marketing and website development agencies, and work closely with other vendors, such as education agents, international event/conference entities, and pathway providers to implement agreed marketing strategies.
- Leadership and management: Foster a high-performance and supportive culture in the marketing team by providing clear goals and regular feedback.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field, post graduate preferred.
- At least 5+ years of experience in a senior marketing role within the education industry
- Proven leadership experience including supporting team development, preferably with a geographically dispersed team.
- Experience drafting, presenting, and reporting against strategic marketing plans.
- Knowledge of sales management, product management, and digital marketing
- Experience in the development and execution of corporate communication strategies.
- High level budget responsibility, preferably within a third-party marketing support context
- Experience in target-driven and growth-focused organisations is preferable
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Positive attitude and ability to think creatively and bring innovation to the Group.
