About the role
As the Head of People Services you are an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team for the Projects portfolio. This role is responsible for providing advice and to counsel on all People aspects throughout this period of unprecedented activity and growth.
You will be required to be an agent for organisational change while maintaining a supportive and considerate people-focus. Using your considerable HR leadership skills, we expect you to manage expectations, leverage resources, and deliver optimum outcomes for the portfolio.
Your success in this role will be seen in the delivery of customer-focused service and progressive stakeholder relationships.
Salary range for this role is between $154,000 –$175,000 total remuneration package and will be determined in line with skills and experience.
About you
You come to this role with demonstrated senior experience in Human Resources, preferably in a highly industrial environment. It is your demonstrated change management and HR leadership skills that make you most suitable for this role.
You have experience developing and maintaining business partnerships to deliver on key strategies and deliver an exceptional stakeholder experience. You are resilient and know how to motivate and move business forward through significant growth and change.

Along with the above, our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Significant experience working in a multi-faceted organisation & fast paced organisation
- Strong communication skills accompanied by the ability to confidentially manage sensitive information
- High-level administrative skills and the ability to work across multiple apps and systems
- Sound judgement in the delivery of innovative & contemporary process improvements
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, business, or management, are desirable, but not essential.
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
