The role: Head of People Services
Reporting to the Executive General Manager People & Capability (P&C), this role is a valued member of the P&C Leadership team. People Services is the core of the P&C function, and your remit will include leading, developing and coaching a team of 24 employees (3 direct reports) that work across Payroll, Talent Acquisition and People Services (The employee lifecycle)
With Workday in place, the People Services function manages the end-to-end employee lifecycle, addressing employee queries through a ticketing system, ensuring service level agreements are met. The Talent Acquisition team are incredibly successful sourcing for and placing near 500 roles per year, whilst the payroll team deal with complexity, given the organisation’s 4000 employees, multiple sites and 34 enterprise agreements.
This is multifaceted leadership position that will work closely with Workplace Relations, Remuneration, Business Partnering and OD as required, solving for people matters as they arise. The role aims to enhance overall people experience, drive operational excellence, and provide compliance assurance to meet the evolving needs of the business and its workforce.
About you…
You will bring experience in People Services leadership roles, having previously matured an organisations approach to the delivery of premium HR services. Ideally, a strong understanding of food manufacturing/brands would be ideal, however Bega Group are genuinely flexible with respect to previous industry experience.
Additionally, you will bring;
- Proven people leadership experience with strategic ability and the maturity to develop, coach and guide a large team.
- Previous experience in overseeing Payroll and People Services functions and ideally Talent Acquisition, with expertise in creating and achieving agreed service level agreements with the business.
- Demonstrated experience in leading with data, utilising systems, e.g. Workday, to demonstrate impact.
- Excellent commercial acumen and an ability to connect and partner with senior stakeholders in a pragmatic, strategic yet action-oriented manner.
