Job Summary
My client is seeking an experienced development profile to drive the acquisition of new renewable projects and manage/grow the development team. They require someone capable of conducting in depth diligence of wind/PV/BESS projects, acquiring them, then following through the late stages of development up to financial close.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential renewable energy projects
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling for project feasibility
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine project feasibility
- Lead and manage the acquisition / development process
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including landowners, communities, government authorities, and regulatory bodies
- Build and lead a high-performing development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience
- Proven track record of successfully leading renewable energy project development
- Strong understanding of Project finance, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
