Mercy Community Services are currently recruiting for a Head of Property & Development. This is a permanent full-time position based at our Nudgee office.
This position is responsible for the management and ongoing development of Mercy Community’s portfolio of land, building and other infrastructure assets, to enable achievement of its Mission and to position for ongoing growth. The role is responsible for managing a team that works across the business to ensure the portfolio of owned and leased properties meets the service delivery needs of the organisation.
This is a unique position which will see you utilise your experience within both facilities management and property development.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus super plus generous salary packaging available
What you’ll be doing
Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, the primary duties of this role include (but are not limited to):
Identify and negotiate the acquisition and development of sites
Direct management of large scale residential aged care facility developments
Manage and lead a team of 10 within the broader facilities and fleet management
Oversee maintenance and management of a large, varied portfolio of owned and leased assets including ensuring legislative requirements are met
Travel to relevant Mercy Community sites within Queensland is required
About you
As the successful candidate, you will be a hands-on manager who demonstrates the following:
Proven experience in the acquisition and development of sites including end-to-end project management (experience within health facilities such as Aged Care is an advantage)
Understanding of the requirements for maintenance and management of a substantial portfolio of multi-site facilities in accordance with accreditation standards
Relationship development and stakeholder engagement experience with a customer service focussed approach
Experience managing a team within facilities and fleet
Hold a Provisional Green or above Driver’s Licence
Ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Workers Screening Card, Police Clearance and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
