The Head of Risk and Resilience (HRR) is a newly created role which will work with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead, co-ordinate and improve the design and implementation of a leading health insurers Risk Function.
Responsibilities but not limited to...
- To enable a consistent and robust approach to governance and crisis resilience throughout the organisation.
- Ensuring that risk, compliance and crisis management strategies, processes and internal control environments are effective and operating as designed.
- Develop risk management and business continuity/crisis management training information
- Prepare draft reports to the Board, Board Committees, Executive and Business Unit leaders
- Maintain, improve, and monitor compliance with the control monitoring program
- Manage over a team of 3
- (8+ Years) Deep experience within Risk, Compliance and Operations gained either or partially or wholly within Financial Services (APRA Regulated). (Insurance advantageous but not essential).
- Business partnering skills with the ability to work closely with the Regulators whilst managing the company's interests and agenda.
- Analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills, able to interpret complex regulatory policy and establish solutions for its implementation and fast adoption.
- Previous experience managing risk teams.
