The Role

Based in Launceston, The Head of Risk and Resilience (HRR) is a newly created role which will work with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead, co-ordinate and improve the design and implementation of the St Lukes Risk, Compliance, Business Continuity and Crisis Management Frameworks. This will enable a consistent and robust approach to governance and crisis resilience throughout the organisation. The HRR is accountable to the CRO for ensuring that risk, compliance and crisis management strategies, processes and internal control environments are effective and operating as designed.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in a discipline(s) relevant to business, commerce, or law.
  • Substantial senior management level experience in managing the development and implementation of Risk, compliance and operational resilience frameworks and strategies within an APRA regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated highly advanced ability to develop high performing teams within a constructive culture.
  • Demonstrated highly advanced ability to create and promote a culture in which employees feel able to report incidents and breaches.
  • Demonstrated highly advanced ability to articulate/convey complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects within the area of responsibility.
