This renewable energy operator has significant operations across Australia with the opportunity to position itself as a global leader in green energy. The business is working on a significant number of complex infrastructure projects that will support rapid decarbonisation.

Position
Reporting to the CFO, the Tax Manager is responsible for the tax function with the support of the broader Finance, Legal and Commercial teams. This role will focus on overseeing the tax compliance requirements of the business as well as providing tax advice on a range of areas, including advising on new acquisitions, potential divestments, current structure and potential restructures, ATO enquiries and real time tax advice on a range of matters.

You will be responsible for developing tax governance and risk management frameworks as well as tax forward planning. Transactional experience, particularly in M&A and divestments will be an advantage.

Profile

CA or CPA qualified with experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm, prominent law firm or tax division of a large corporate. You will have extensive corporate tax compliance and advisory experience with an ability to provide commercially relevant tax advice.

This role requires drive, energy, resilience and commitment as change is constant. A strategic thinker, you will challenge conventional thinking and identify tax opportunities and strategies that align with overall business strategy.
Experience working in the energy and/or renewable sector will be highly regarded.
