In this newly created Head of Technology Infrastructure role, reporting to the CIO Optus, you will lead the design, implementation and 'evergreen' maintenance of resilient, secure and highly performing information technology infrastructure platforms to deliver an outstanding customer experience and enable Optus's vision of becoming Australia's most loved everyday brand with lasting customer relationships.
As an experienced leader with broad knowledge in end-to-end delivery of infrastructure platforms, you will have the opportunity to craft the vision and inspire change in the way we work and the overall workplace experience, as well as help bring to life our 'cloud' first mentality.
You will lead a team of approximately 55, whilst also having accountability for the performance of multiple technology partners with numerous outsourcing, offshoring and software and hardware vendor contracts.
Core to the role will be developing a cohesive enterprise infrastructure strategy, reference architecture and product roadmaps and will use your strong influencing and collaboration skills at all levels to drive optimal enterprise outcomes.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a multi-year rolling plan to ensure the effective delivery of Infrastructure and Application Services, as well as continually improve and modernise infrastructure capability to enhance user experience, support application transformation and optimize cost efficiency
- Lead the strategy, planning and implementation of automation and modernization opportunities to improve user experience, service levels and cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategy to modernise infrastructure platforms with 'cloud first' mantra and associated benefit realisation.
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing team to deliver exceptional quality services and collaborate seamlessly with application teams.
- Maximise group wide project efficiencies by providing common infrastructure platforms to simplify deployment and economy of scale.
- Ensure that Service Levels are negotiated and set with BU's and delivered through a multi-sourced environment.
- Develop and maintain framework for the selection and management of technology vendors delivering to the groups' infrastructure and service delivery outcomes with strong emphasis on automation
