The Valley Estate is a premier Wedding and Event Venue in Currumbin Valley, Gold Coast. With its Manor, Chapel, Glasshouse, Guesthouse and extensive gardens, The Valley Estate is a complete wedding venue, offering prospective couples the unique opportunity to host their ceremony, photoshoot and reception all within the one venue. Since opening in 2021, demand for bookings is constantly growing and we are now seeking a dynamic and impeccably-presented professional to lead our team of Wedding & Events Coordinators as the Head of Weddings & Events. Primarily responsible for managing the coordination of Weddings the role will also encompass corporate and social events. This role requires someone with in-depth understanding of the wedding event market and passionate about the industry.
As a brand ambassador for The Valley Estate we require an engaging individual with impeccable communication skills. As a self-starter, they will need to be motivated and driven to succeed in this role. As an organisational superstar they must have a keen eye for the finer details as well as the ability to multi-task. Leadership skills are essential, with the ability to lead a team and work alongside Senior Management to ensure smooth collaboration of all venue departments.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Weddings & Events needs to be a team player, comfortable working with our systems and processes but open to continuous improvement.
Job requirements:
- Managing a Team of Coordinators to ensure that all Weddings & Events are run as per company standards.
- Ability to manage department financial goals in rostering, wages and sales by managing team operational performance
- Managing client communication from familiarisations & enquiries through to post-event
- Event planning, coordination, and delivery.
- Hosting on-site familiarisations and planning meetings.
- Prepare quotes and invoices for events.
- Ability to coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders for the smooth and efficient running of all wedding and events.
- Experience working with CRMs (like IVVY) and Microsoft Office.
