About the role

Do you have extensive Health and Safety experience in a high risk, operational environment?

This role will work closely with our field teams and major contractors to provide support, specialist advice and guidance in relation to the Health and Safety function. You must be proficient broadly across applicable WHS Legislation, Health and Safety management systems and Safety risk management.

The role will help set a new standard in incident investigation, safety communication and complex project management. You will bring innovation and contemporary thinking to the Health and Safety function and to our business more broadly.

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll have extensive experience in Health and Safety, preferably in a high-risk industry such as utilities, mining or construction.

Essential to this role, our preferred candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety and/or significant experience in a high-risk industry and possess -

  • A demonstrated passion for innovation, continuous improvement and enhancing experiences
  • Proven ability to analyse, interpret and communicate data
  • Experience with facilitating risk assessment activities
  • A demonstrated understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act and Electrical Safety Act
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
