On April 27, 2023 the a $35.5 million commitment to Infant, Children and Adolescent (ICA) Mental Health services. An initial investment of $7.1 million was committed to the South West Community ICAMHS hub consisting of a large, multidisciplinary team to provide local, consistent and integrated Mental Health care for children aged 0-17 years old. The hub (located in Bunbury and Busselton) will provide culturally safe and responsive care, supporting children and families to access quality Mental Health care.
The hub will be flexible in how supports are delivered, including face-to-face at local clinics, virtually via telehealth or via outreach in the community in an environment that is safe and appropriate for the child and family as well as clinicians.
