Salary range: $85,906 to $93,915 per annum + 12.5% superannuation.

About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by delivering Health Promotion outcomes, organisation and management of the Council’s public immunisation services and programs, and the provision of administrative services to the Environmental Health Unit.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Organise and coordinate the operation of the Council’s approved program for immunisation in a safe and effective manner including being responsible for managing all record keeping associated with immunisation consent processing, collate all immunisation data, and completing all statutory reporting.
  • Represent City of Hobart at the relevant state and national level meetings and forums to review programs and provide input into immunisation and health and wellbeing programming and planning.
  • Develop and deliver educational presentations to service providers and the general public which include advocacy and awareness of current Health Promotion programs.

Are you ready to work in a stimulating and diverse environment with a motivated and dedicated team? If so, you may be the person we are looking for with below Mandatory Qualifications.

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Community Health, Health Promotion, Health Education or similar.
  • Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
  • Provide Basic Emergence Life Support (HLTAID010)
  • Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (HLTAID009)
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
  • Current Driver Licence.
