We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team on a major project at Barrow Island - FIFO basis. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our workforce while contributing to the successful delivery of this critical project.
What you'll do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety plans and procedures.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
- Deliver engaging safety training and inductions to employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending improvements.
- Monitor and audit safety performance, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Foster a positive safety culture through proactive engagement and communication.
What you bring:
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor in a construction or related industry.
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian WHS legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to safety challenges.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
