The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
Reporting to the Health Safety and Wellbeing Project Manager, this newly established role is responsible for providing proactive, efficient and professional administrative support across the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. The role requires a good understanding of Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW), including applicable frameworks, policies, processes, and legislation and is responsible for the system administration of the incident management system. The successful candidate will also assist with the preparation and drafting of various internal reports and supporting Ahpra’s National HSW committee.

About you
You will be a professional HSW Administrator with your experience gained from complex and diverse organisations. You provide proactive administrative support to a small team that has an enterprise wide impact and will engage with stakeholders at all levels to foster a collaborative, safe and engaging workplace.
As an individual, your ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships will be one of the keys to your success as will your agility and adaptability in working in dynamic environments. You will be proactive in providing what you identify as opportunities for improvement and be a key support for positive change. As the ideal candidate, you will also have:
- Work health and safety certificate IV and/or equivalent level of experience across a similar area
- A positive, solutions focused mindset with critical thinking to support business outcomes
- Strong communications skills with the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and peers at all levels
- Demonstrate professional, proactive, accurate, efficient, confidential and customer focused support
