About the Role
As the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Consultant you will provide timely delivery and specialist advice and support to managers and staff within the University across a broad range of Health, Safety & Wellbeing issues.
This position will also work closely with the Manager, Health, Safety & Wellbeing and partner with varied internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, implement and/or improve Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies, systems and programs to meet strategic risk management objectives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and motivated health & Safety professional who is seeking to utilise their discretion and initiative to ensure positive and effective working relationships with staff across the university.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
  • An in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of HSW legislation, compliance codes and strategies for their successful deployment across the University.
  • Proven capacity to consult effectively on workplace risk assessments and development of practical resolution strategies.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to balance competing demands, prioritise effectively and work to deadlines.
  • Proven ability to provide concise and practical advice to line mangers on HSW issues.
  • Ability to develop HSW procedures and undertake associated training delivery.
Qualifications
A degree in occupational health and safety or related discipline along with subsequent relevant experience.
